Experience Required: Prior industrial/environmental cleaning experience is an asset not a requirement. Some light handy person skills are necessary.

Custodian / Maintenance Assistant

CCA is seeking an energetic, reliable, and collaborative individual to join our team as a Custodian / Maintenance Assistant for our two campuses in Bible Hill. This position is responsible for helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. The successful candidate must be open to feedback/constructive criticism.

Responsibilities include:

Sweeping, mopping, and performing general floor care to ensure the school's floors are clean, safe, and well maintained.
Cleaning and sanitizing washrooms, door knobs, high touch areas regularly.
High/Low dusting
Emptying garbage and recycling
General cleaning and upkeep of classrooms, offices, and common areas
Organizing and maintaining the school kitchen, including the fridge.
Managing lost and found items
Ordering, organizing, and monitoring cleaning and maintenance supplies
Light building maintenance and repairs
Painting and touch-up work as required
Assisting with other custodial and maintenance duties as needed

The ideal candidate will:

Be dependable, hardworking, and self-motivated
Be able to develop and maintain a cleaning schedule that includes routine daily cleaning as well as monthly deep cleaning of both school buildings, ensuring all areas are cleaned thoroughly. .
Take pride in maintaining a clean and organized environment
Work well independently and as part of a team
Possess basic maintenance and repair skills
Be physically capable of performing duties such as pushing, pulling and lifting up to 60 lbs; do repetitive movements, standing and walking.
