CCA Track Team Shines at Districts
14 Regional Qualifiers Headed to the Next Level!
What a week for the CCA Track and Field Team! After sending 18 determined athletes and 4 relay teams to Stellarton for the District Championships on May 13–14, we’re proud to announce that 14 of our athletes have qualified for Regionals taking place May 23–24. The entire team raced with heart, determination, and school pride — and the results speak for themselves!
From sprints to long-distance events, our students gave it their all. Here are just a few of the many standout moments:
🏃♀️ Chloe Bokma stormed the track with an incredible 2nd place finish in the 400m, 1st in the 800m, and a close 2nd in the 1500m — securing her a spot in all three events at Regionals, plus the 4x400m Relay.
🏃♀️ Isabella Burris dominated the long-distance scene, winning both the 1500m and 3000m, punching her ticket to Regionals in both — along with the Girls 4x400m Relay.
💪 Jewell Burris powered through to claim 7th in the 400m and 2nd in the 800m, and will also race in the 4x400m Relay.
⚡ Autaum Kolstee sprinted her way to Regionals with top-10 finishes in 100m (8th), 200m (7th), and 400m (5th) — showing incredible speed across all distances.
📈 Graedy Shannon impressed in all his races, finishing 2nd in the 800m, 4th in the 1500m, and 2nd in the 3000m, earning Regional spots in all three events.
👊 Sydney Shannon also raced her way to Regionals in the 800m (4th), 1500m (5th), and 3000m (4th) — a triple threat on the track!
👏 Michael McNutt clocked strong performances in the 200m and 800m, and joins the Boys 4x400m Relay heading to Regionals.
🌟 Leah Kolstee sprinted to 5th in the 200m and earned a spot on the Girls 4x400m Relay.
🔥 Joziah Shannon ran a personal best in the 800m and 400m, and will serve as Alternate for the Relay Team.
🎉 Rayelle Allen, Leila Sante, Michael Skelhorn, Magnuson Hingley, and Seth Bokma also contributed excellent efforts and have earned spots on the 4x400m Relays or in individual events.

- Girls Junior 4x400m Relay – 🥈2nd Place
- Boys Junior 4x400m Relay – 4th Place
- Girls Intermediate 4x400m Relay – 5th Place
- Girls Intermediate 4x100m Relay – 7th Place
The competition was fierce, but our athletes stepped up with strength, sportsmanship, and spirit. We couldn’t be prouder of the entire team — every runner, jumper, and relay anchor made CCA proud. 🌟
